Important Reminder for Employers: Download Your SBSCH Records Before 30 June

If you currently use the ATO’s Small Business Superannuation Clearing House (SBSCH) to process superannuation payments, an important deadline is approaching.

As part of the ATO’s Payday Super reforms, the SBSCH will close permanently from 1 July 2026. After this date, the service will no longer be available.

What’s changing?

From 11:59 pm (AEST) on 30 June 2026:
  • You will no longer be able to log in to the SBSCH
  • You won’t be able to submit super payment instructions
  • You won’t be able to view or access any historical records
Once access is removed, past SBSCH data cannot be retrieved.

What you need to do now

If you’ve used SBSCH at any time, the ATO strongly recommends that you download and save your records before 30 June, including:
  • Employee super payment transactions
  • Employee and fund details
These records may be needed in the future to respond to:
  • ATO reviews or audits
  • Employee questions about super payments
  • Reconciliation or accounting checks

You’ll also need an alternative super payment method

With SBSCH closing, employers must move to a different superannuation payment solution to continue paying employees’ super. Many businesses will transition through their payroll software or a commercial clearing house that supports Payday Super requirements.
